The SoCon Announces Women’s Golfer of the Week

SPARTANBURG, SC – Furman sophomore Olivia Hasselbach was named SoCon Golfer of the Week for events played between September 16-22.

Hasselbach (Tampa, FL) finished second individually, carding three rounds under par (67-70-69-206) to finish 10-under par – only four strokes back of first place. She shot a personal-best 67 in the opening round with six birdies – including three-straight to finish the day. She sank four birdie putts in each of her final two rounds. 

Hasselbach beat the field’s scoring average by eight strokes in the first round and by more than four strokes in each of the final two rounds. Her efforts helped the Paladins tie for third in the team race with Xavier.

Furman will head to South Bend, IN, next weekend for the Fighting Irish Classic on September 26-27 at Warren Golf Course.
