SoCon Announces Women’s Golfer of the Week

ETSU’s Piyamanit Finishes Fifth at Golfweek Fall Challenge

SPARTANBURG, SC – ETSU sophomore Arisa Piyamanit was named SoCon Women’s Golfer of the Week for tournaments played between September 2-September 8.

Piyamanit (Nakhon Prathom, Thailand) finished in a tie for fifth at the 2026 Golfweek Fall Challenge in Pawley’s Island, SC. She shot low rounds of 69 twice in the tournament, doing so in the first round and the final round to finish in a five-way tie – only four strokes back of the lead.

The tournament was played on the 6,004-yard (Par 71) course at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club. Piyamanit’s effort helped ETSU into a tie for ninth as a team, two strokes behind Troy and three strokes behind Coastal Carolina.

Furman’s Eva Ringwald was also nominated after a stellar effort against a stacked field at the Cougar Classic hosted by Yeamans Hall Club in Charleston, SC. Ringwald finished 14th, just one stroke out of a tie for ninth place and only five strokes off the lead. She shot 1-under in the opening round and finished at par (71) in the final two rounds to hold her position. The Paladins finished sixth in the team standings, one stroke behind Miami (FL) and ahead of Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, Clemson, LSU, and several other Power 4 programs.

ETSU will take a week off before returning the course on September 21 at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic in Wolcott, Colorado.
