Final round set to begin Wednesday at 9 a.m.  

BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. – Furman extended its lead to ten strokes at the 2026 Southern Conference Women’s Golf Championship, while the Paladins’ Audrey Ryu surged into first place individually after firing a 1‑under 71 on Tuesday. Ryu now sits at 2‑under for the tournament and holds a one‑shot advantage over the field.  

Tournament statistical highlights, include:  

  • Kasey McIlvaine (UNCG) – Leads the field in par‑3 scoring at –2, one of only two players under par on the short holes.  
  • Audrey Ryu (Furman) & Makenzie Cooper (Chattanooga) – Share the lead in par‑4 scoring at 3.95, demonstrating consistency on the course’s most demanding holes.  
  • Sophia Gambini (ETSU), Audrey Ryu (Furman), Bella Bugg (Chattanooga) – Tied for the best par‑5 scoring at –3, capitalizing on scoring opportunities.  
  • Sophia Gambini (ETSU) – Leads the championship with 7 birdies, showing strong scoring bursts across both rounds.  
  • Audrey Ryu (Furman) – Leads the field with 20 pars, highlighting her steady, low‑mistake play.
