Samford’s Richards named SoCon Golfer of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Samford's Anika Richards has been named the Southern Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for all competitions held Feb. 4 – 10, the league office announced Wednesday. 

Richards posted a 3-0 record in the number one spot to lead Samford to three wins at the Oyster Shuck Match Play tournament, which wrapped on Tuesday in Charleston, South Carolina. A native of Fernandina Beach, Florida, she posted wins of 5 & 4, 8 & 7, and 2 & 1, during the event.  

The Bulldogs’ senior is ranked third amongst her Samford teammates, according to Scoreboard by Clippd.
