SoCon announces women's golfer of the week
Kim leads Bears to 9th place finish in Mississippi
SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Mercer junior Riley Kim has been named the Southern Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for all competition held October 22–28, the league office announced Wednesday.
Kim led the Bears at The Ally, a competitive tournament hosted by Mississippi State in West Point, Mississippi. A native of Aldie, Virginia, she finished tied for 16th overall, posting rounds of 71, 70, and 76 for a 1-over-par total of 217. Her performance marked the highest finish among Mercer golfers at the event.
Kim also tied for second in total pars with 39 and ranked fifth in par-4 scoring at 1-under. According to Scoreboard by Clippd, she currently sits sixth in the Southern Conference individual rankings after 12 rounds of play.
Mercer, ranked third in the conference team standings, will wrap up its fall schedule by hosting the Mercer Invitational beginning November 2.
