The Wofford women's basketball team triumphed 73-38 over King (Tenn.) Saturday afternoon inside Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium behind a stout defensive effort. Wofford improves to 8-5 to close non-conference action as King remains 5-7 with the contest an exhibition for the Division II Tornado. The Terriers conclude non-conference play a perfect 7-0 at home, marking the second time in the last three seasons that Wofford enters Southern Conference action unblemished on its home court. The last instance was the 2022-23 campaign in which Wofford was 6-0 at home entering conference play.The Samford women's basketball team wrapped up the non-conference portion of its schedule today by hosting Berry College at the Pete Hanna Center. The Bulldogs dominated in all facets of the contest en route to a 94-35 victory to take their record to 5-11 on the season. It was all Samford from the tip as Aubrey Blankenship got off to a quick start after being inserted into the starting lineup. She scored 11 of her 13 points in the opening quarter doing in inside and outside. The Dogs were able to create open looks from behind the arc which they capitalized on by going 7-of-10 from three in the opening 10 minutes of play. Six different Samford players scored a bucket while Kylee Lewandowski scored seven off the bench
