Evangelia Paulk records second triple double in Wofford history

Samford 62, Wofford 54
The Samford women's basketball team picked up its fourth-straight win in a huge 62-54 Southern Conference road win at Wofford Thursday evening at Richardson Indoor Stadium. With the win, Samford improved its record to 11-16 overall and 6-5 in Southern Conference play. Wofford fell to 15-9 overall and 7-4 in SoCon games. Freshman Claire Johnson led Samford with 20 points and six rebounds in the win. Alonya Waldon tallied 17 points, while Kennedy Langham added 14 points for the Bulldogs.
Evangelia Paulk etched her name in history Thursday night inside the Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium as with her 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 steals, she recorded the second triple-double in program history. However, the Wofford women's basketball team fell 62-54 to Samford despite the Terriers' late comeback efforts. Wofford drops to 15-9 (7-4 SoCon) as Samford improves to 11-16 (6-5 SoCon).
Furman 72, Mercer 70
Visiting Mercer bridged the third and fourth quarters with a 17-3 run to grab a seven-point lead with 6-1/2 minutes left in regulation, but Furman closed the game with a 16-7 swing, including a go-ahead layup from Jada Session with 9.5 seconds left, to stun the Bears, 72-70, on Thursday evening in Bob Jones University's Davis Field House.
