Thursday's Women's Basketball Roundup

Furman 88, Purdue Fort Wayne 84

Niveya Henley scored 22 points and delivered a go-ahead 3-pointer with 42 seconds remaining in overtime to give Furman an 85-82 lead en route to an 88-84 victory over Purdue Fort Wayne in Thursday afternoon women's basketball action at Georgia State's Thanksgiving Tournament at GSU's Convocation Center. Henley's winning points were made possible by teammate Sydney Ryan's game tying, buzzer beating 3-pointer that knotted the game at 77-77 at the end of regulation.  

UTSA 62, UNCG 53

The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) women's basketball team dropped its first game of the 2024 Puerto Rico Clasico on Thursday against UTSA, 62-53, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum. Jayde Gamble and Jaila Lee led the Spartans in scoring with 14 and 10 points, respectively.
