SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Furman midfielder Bri Pinasco and Samford goalkeeper Peyton Hull have been named the Southern Conference women’s soccer offensive and defensive players of the week, respectively, for all competition from Sept. 22-28.

Pinasco scored two goals in Furman’s 7-1 win over VMI on Sept. 27. The native of Columbia, South Carolina recorded her first score in the 19th minute, making the score 2-1 in favor of the Paladins. The senior’s second goal came off a free kick in the 36th minute of the contest. Pinasco is currently tied for first in the SoCon in game-winning goals this season (3).

Hull played all 90 minutes inside the net for Samford as the Bulldogs defeated the Mercer Bears, 2-0, on Sept. 25. The redshirt junior from South Bend, Indiana, had four saves in the contest. Hull has five shutouts this season, which leads the conference.

Furman plays at The Citadel on Sunday. Samford welcomes Wofford on Thursday, before traveling to ETSU on Sunday.
