SPARTANBURG, SC – Furman forward Wilfer Bustamante and ETSU goalkeeper Noé Delmotte were named Southern Conference Men’s Soccer Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for matches played from October 27-31.

Bustamante (Greenville, SC) starred again for the Paladins, helping the defending champions to the No. 1 seed with a draw at UNC Greensboro and a 4-1 win over co-regular season champion Wofford. Bustamante assisted on Furman’s lone goal at UNCG Tuesday night, then scored his league-leading 11^th goal of the season in Saturday’s home win over the Terriers. Bustamante has seven goals over his last three weeks – including a pair of hat tricks.

Delmotte (Bondues, France) captured his second Defensive Player of the Week honor in a row, recording another key shutout in a 0-0 draw at UNC Greensboro Saturday evening. It marked the fourth consecutive clean sheet for Delmotte in SoCon play. ETSU has posted shutouts in six of its final eight regular season games overall.

ETSU, the No. 4 seed, will host No. 5 Liberty on Thursday afternoon at 3:00 pm ET in Johnson City, TN, to open play in the 2026 SoCon Men’s Soccer Championship. Furman will await the winner of that match on Sunday, November 8, at 7:00 pm ET in Greenville, SC.
