SoCon Announces Women’s Golfer of the Week

UNCG’s Baker Hudson Wins Second Tourney in a Row

SPARTANBURG, SC – UNC Greensboro freshman Baker Hudson was named SoCon Women’s Golfer of the Week for tournaments played between October 14-20.

Hudson (New Bern, NC) continued her late fall season roll, overcoming a 73 on the opening day at the 2026 UNCG Collegiate to fire back-to-back rounds of 66 and 67 to finish the event at 10-under par. She won medalist honors by two strokes over Augusta’s Sara Adams and helped the Spartans to the team title over Augusta by seven strokes.

Hudson, who tied for medalist honors last week at the Terrier Intercollegiate in Spartanburg, played bogey-free golf over the final 36 holes in Greensboro and finished the tournament with 14 birdies – 11 over the final two days – to lead the field. She also averaged a tournament-best 3.83 strokes on par 4 holes.

The UNCG Collegiate was the final tournament for the Spartans this fall.
