Mercer’s Fouilhoux named SoCon Men’s Tennis Player of the Week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Mercer’s Marceau Fouilhoux has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for all competition from March 12–18. The selection is made by the league office.

The junior from Lyon, France, led the way for the Bears on Monday (March 18), rallying from an opening-set loss as well as a 4-0 deficit in the third set, to defeat Wofford's Ashe Ray 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 at No. 2 singles. The win marked the final team point in a 4-3 win over the Terriers. Fouilhoux also partnered with teammate Nemanja Stefanovic for a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles.

Mercer (3-9, 1-0 SoCon) is scheduled to get back on the courts on Sunday (March 24) when the team visits UNCG (4-8, 0-4).
