Wofford’s Robbie Young named SoCon player of the week
Senior won at No. 1 singles and doubles against Chattanooga

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford’s Robbie Young has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for all competition from April 1-7. The selection is made by the league office.
On Saturday April 5, in a 5-2 setback at Chattanooga, Young teamed up with Jack Deveney to defeat Jakub Jupa and Gabriel Castillo, 7-5, at the No. 1 doubles court. In singles competition, the senior from Greenville, South Carolina, defeated Jupa in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2, giving the Terriers their first team point of the match.
Wofford (6-10, 1-4 SoCon) will host Mercer on Tuesday, April 8, before welcoming Furman on Friday, April 11, to wrap up regular season play.
