ETSU’s Kai Cowcher named SoCon player of the week

, S.C. – ETSU’s Kai Cowcher has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for all competition from Feb. 24-March 2. The selection is made by the league office.

Cowcher compiled a 3-0 record last week for ETSU as the Buccaneers defeated UNC Asheville on Feb. 25, and No. 42 Charlotte on March 1. In a 7-0 win over UNC Asheville, Cowcher topped Cian Ingles, 6-2, 6-3, in singles, and combined with Arenui Luethi for a 6-0 doubles victory. Against Charlotte, the native of Colchester, Essex, England, got a 6-4, 6-2 win in singles, helping the Bucs to a 4-3 win.

ETSU plays at Tennessee Tech today.
