SoCon announces Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

Teams now look ahead to conference championships

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Furman’s Bryn Woodall has been named the men’s track indoor athlete of the week, the conference office announced Wednesday.  

Selections were made by panels of the league’s track and field coaches and included all competitions from Feb. 18-24. 

Woodall ran a conference leading 3:58.06, placing first in the mile at the ASICS Last Chance Invitational. The e mark ranks the Paladins graduate student 68th in the nation in the event.  

A native of Llanfairfechan, Wales, Woodall also leads the conference in the 3000 meters event, after running a sub-eight 7:52.63 on Feb. 13.  

The Southern Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships are set to begin on Feb. 27.
