ETSU’s Malik named SoCon men’s golfer of the week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU’s Yannick Malik has been selected as the Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from April 2-8. The selection is made by the league office.
 
Malik finished tied for seventh at the Augusta Haskins Award Invite in Augusta, Georgia, which wrapped play Sunday. The junior shot rounds of 68-70-73 for a tournament score of 211 (-5). The native of Munich, Germany, completed the tournament tied for second in par-4 scoring (-5).

ETSU placed ninth at the Augusta Haskins Award Invite in the 15-team, 78-golfer field with a tournament score of 865 (+1). The Buccaneers shot 287 in the first round, 288 in the second round and 290 in the final round.

The Bucs will play their next tournament at the SoCon Men’s Golf Championship in Greensboro, Georgia, on April 20-22.
