ETSU’s Bressum named SoCon men’s golfer of the week

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU’s Kristian Bressum has been selected as the Southern Conference Men’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from Sept. 25-Oct. 1. The selection is made by the league office.
 
Bressum finished sixth at the Windon Memorial Classic, which wrapped play on Monday. The senior posted rounds of 71-69-70 for a tournament score of 210 (-3). The native of Randers, Denmark, finished the event with 12 birdies, six of which came during the final round. Bressum, a transfer from Saint Mary’s, logged his ninth career top 10 finish, this being his first with the Buccaneers, in the tournament.

ETSU finished 11th at the Windon Memorial Classic in the 16-team, 88-golfer field, with an 881 tournament score. The Bucs shot 301 in the first round, 295 in the second round and 285 in the final round.

The Buccaneers will play their next tournament in Atlanta, Georgia, at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate on Oct. 18-20.
