Five Terriers scored in double figures, securing a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019

No. 6 Wofford 92, No. 5 Furman 85

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Hot shooting from three-point range in the second half helped No. 6 seed Wofford to a 92-85 win over No. 5 Furman in the Ingles Southern Conference Men's Basketball Championship game on Monday night at Harrah's Cherokee Center - Asheville.

Jackson Sivills made his fourth and final 3-pointer of the night with 1:26 remaining, giving the Terriers the lead for good, 84-83.

From there Wofford did the remainder of its scoring from the free-throw line, converting on eight straight for its sixth SoCon tournament title and first since 2019.

The Terriers made 8-of-13 three-point attempts in the second half when they outscored the Paladins 55-46.

Wofford held a 77-69 lead with 6:53 remaining but Furman went on a 14-2 run for an 83-79 advantage with 2:34 left in regulation. Wofford's Kyle Filewich, the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, scored on a layup with 1:49 remaining to cut the deficit to 83-81 before Sivills' big shot.

The Terriers finished 14-of-28 for the game on shots beyond the arc. Furman was 8-of-16 in the first half but cooled off in the second half, making just 5-of-17 to finish 13-of-33.
