The Citadel Baseball Drops Doubleheader Against the RedHawks

  • Anthony Hausner led the Bulldogs with three hits and two RBIs.
  • Thomas Rollauer recorded two RBIs on a SAC fly and a SAC bunt.
  • Trey Benko (1-0) picked up the win for the RedHawks by throwing 5.0 innings with two strikeouts and zero earned.
  • Patrick Mastrian IV (S, 1) posted the save for Miami on a shutdown ninth inning for Miami.
  • Zane Davis (0-1) suffered the loss for The Citadel after throwing two innings, giving up two earned runs on two hits.

VMI blanks UMES for third straight win

VMI Baseball (3-0) put on an offensive clinic Saturday morning, defeating Maryland Eastern Shore in game three of the series at Lamore Field at Gray-Minor Stadium. The Keydets held a 15-0 advantage over the Hawks until heavy rain came into play, resulting in the game being called in the sixth inning. VMI has won three straight to start a season for the first time since 2010. In the first three games of 2025, VMI has scored 40 runs, the most runs scored to start a season in program history.

Offense Dominates, Newcomers Shine On Mound In Win Over Milwaukee

Senior Parker Lester smashed two home runs and four newcomers impressed on the mound in their Mercer debuts to power the Bears to their first win of the season on Saturday afternoon, taking down Milwaukee 12-4. The Bears bounced back from a series-opening loss in a big way, dominating the Panthers with two four-run innings and 12 strikeouts on the mound to even the series. 

Bucs finish off series sweep of Northern Kentucky, 6-2

After some shuffling with this weekend's schedule, the ETSU baseball team finished off a series sweep of Northern Kentucky on Saturday afternoon with a 6-2 victory at Thomas Stadium. The win boosts ETSU's record to 3-0 in 2025, and it is the third time in the past four seasons that the Bucs have started a new campaign with three straight wins.
