UNCG Baseball Sweeps Doubleheader at ETSU to Win Three-Game SoCon Series
The UNC Greensboro (UNCG) baseball team swept a doubleheader against the East Tennessee State (ETSU) Buccaneers on Saturday with 5-4 and 3-2 victories to win the three-game Southern Conference (SoCon) series two games to one at Thomas Stadium.

Bears Split Doubleheader, Take Second Consecutive SoCon Series
After dropping game one of Saturday's doubleheader, the Mercer baseball team banged out 17 hits in game two to take the rubber match against VMI by a score of 13-4. Brant Baughcum  tallied six hits on the day,  Titan Kamaka  picked up five hits and five RBI, and  Bradley Frye  drove in five runs in game two to power the Bears at the plate.  Jeb Johnson  put in the longest start of the season for Mercer in game one, tossing eight innings, while  Jess Ackerman  (3-2) took the win in game two. 

VMI walks off Mercer to split Saturday slate
VMI Baseball split Saturday's doubleheader, earning a walk-off victory in game one before falling in game two at Lamore Field at Gray-Minor Stadium. The Keydets (20-13, 4-5 SoCon) rebounded from Friday's tough outing to the Bears, rallying in the ninth inning to get an 8-7 win in game one. However, Mercer was able to cap off the series with a 13-4 triumph in game two to take the series.

Samford Baseball Blasts Four Homers In 19-5 Win At Wofford
The Samford University baseball team hit four three-run home runs on its way to a dominating 19-4, eight-inning win at Wofford in the second game of a three-game series Saturday afternoon at King Field. With the win, Samford improved its season record to 16-15 overall and 3-2 in Southern Conference play. Wofford fell to 21-11 overall and 2-3 in league play. The win, paired with Friday's 14-0 win, gives Samford the series win over the Terriers.

Wofford Baseball Falls to Samford on Saturday
Despite a first-inning run for the Wofford baseball team, the Samford Bulldogs plated five in a row to claim a lead it would not relent Saturday afternoon at Russell C. King Field en route to a 19-5 margin. The Terriers are now 21-11 (2-3 SoCon) as the Bulldogs improve to 16-15 (3-2 SoCon). Cullen Condon  (1-1) started as the first of six Terriers to take the mound for Wofford. He was tagged with the loss after allowing five runs in 4.0 innings on five hits despite five punchouts.

Poppell Hits Grand Slam; Bulldogs Take the Series Against the Broncos
The Citadel tied a season-high in runs scored with 11 on 11 hits. The Bulldogs scored 11 runs against Presbyterian on March 11. The Bulldogs recorded their fourth straight win. The Citadel scored nine runs in the top of the fifth inning, the highest total since 2023, when the Bulldogs scored ten runs in the fourth inning against Delaware State. Rhyder Poppell recorded his first career hit and first career home run on a grand slam in the fifth inning. Poppell's grand slam is the first since 2023, when Thomas Rollauer hit one against Delaware State. Four Bulldogs had a multi-hit day, with TJ Anderson leading the charge at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two doubles, bringing his total to four on the season.
