SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford’s Zion Bennett and ETSU’s Micailah Cook have been named the men’s and women’s indoor track athletes of the week, respectively. Additionally, Samford's Bryce Davis and Chattanooga’s Halle Carden have been selected as the men’s and women’s indoor field athletes of the week, the conference office announced Wednesday.
Selections were made by panels of the league’s track and field coaches and included all competitions from Feb. 4 - 10.
Bennett placed first in the men’s 400m at the VMI Winter Relays, clocking a time of 47.69. The St. Andrew, Jamaica, native set both a personal and school record with the performance. The Terriers’ senior now leads the conference in the event.
