SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Chattanooga’s Monica San Juan has been named the Southern Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from March 20-26. The selection is made by the league office.

The Barcelona, Spain, native earned her second top 10 finish of the season at the Hawkeye El Tigre Invitational in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, this past weekend. San Juan shot a 73-72-75 to put her total strokes at 220, enough to finish tied with No. 47 Haley Moore of Arizona, for ninth out of 66 participants.  The senior helped lead the Mocs a fourth-place finish, placing them over four ranked opponents (No. 37 Tennessee, No. 83 Colorado State, No. 84 Idaho and No. 85 BYU).

This selection is her second selection of her collegiate career. Her last time being selected was March 29, 2017.

The Mocs next travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to compete in the LSU Tiger Golf Classic, March 29 – 31.
