SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Samford’s Emily Uhland has been named the Southern Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from March 6 – 12. The selection is made by the league office.

Uhland led the Bulldogs in the Spring Break Shootout in Dade City, Florida, earlier this week to an overall sixth place finish out of 87 teams. The senior shot a 70, one-under-par, in the first round and a one-over-par, 72, in both the second and third rounds to finish at one-over-par at 214 while shooting a 71.3. Her 70 in the first round marks her lowest round of the 2018-19 season and is tied for the lowest round of her Samford career.

The Bulldogs turn their attention to the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate in Sevierville, Tennessee, March 17-19.
