MACON, Ga. – The Mercer women's basketball team cracked the most recent College Insider Women's Mid-Major Top 25 poll, coming in as the No. 25 team in Tuesday's announcement.

Mercer (20-7, 12-0 Southern Conference) is coming off a two-game road swing in which it clinched the outright 2018-19 SoCon regular season title. It is the fourth consecutive season that the Bears have owned at least a share of the SoCon regular season title, the last two of which have been outright.

Mercer tallied 60 points in the latest Top 25 poll. A panel of 31 mid-major head coaches vote on the College Insider Women's Mid-Major Top 25 poll.

The Bears will conclude the regular season with a pair of home games this week against Furman (7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28) and Wofford (2 p.m., Saturday, March 2) before shifting their focus to the 2019 SoCon Tournament on March 7-10 in Asheville, N.C.
