SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Furman’s Natalie Srinivasan has been named the Southern Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from April 4-10. The selection is made by the league office.

The sophomore from Spartanburg, South Carolina, tied for eighth place in the Bryan National Collegiate golf tournament last week. Srinivasan totaled a 6-over-par 222 as No. 7 Furman finished second overall on Saturday. Srinivasan opened up play with a four-birdie round-one 71. In the second round, Srinivasan posted a score of 73 before capping off the weekend with a 78 under rainy conditions.

Furman next turns to the Southern Conference Championship in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The SoCon Championship will be held April 15-17 at Moss Creek Golf Club.

Also nominated: Terese Romeo (Mercer), Louse Tichy (UNCG) and Monica San Juan (Chattanooga).
