SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Furman’s Natalie Srinivasan has been named the Southern Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from March 21-27. The selection is made by the league office.
Srinivasan helped propel the Paladins to victory at the Clemson Invitational on Sunday, shooting a 9-under-par 207, finishing tied for second individually. In a field that included nine players in the top 25, the sophomore shot 69 in three consecutive rounds, helping lead Furman to a 10-stroke win. A native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Srinivasan had 16 birdies over three rounds and leads Furman with a 71.9 stroke average this season.
Furman will next compete in the Bryan National Invitational held in Greensboro, North Carolina, from April 6-8.
Also nominated: Terese Romeo (Mercer), Tara Bettle (UNCG), Madeline Davis (Samford) and Cristina Perez (Chattanooga).
