GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Furman’s Haylee Harford is featured in the second of three fall ANNIKA Award Presented by 3M watch lists, as announced by Golfweek on Friday.
A senior from Leavittsburg, Ohio, Harford is ranked fourth in this week’s Golfstat national ratings with a 68.74 adjusted scoring average and a 5-1 record versus top 25 players. She leads the 11th-ranked Paladins with a 68.6 stroke average over 5 rounds after winning individual medalist honors with a score of nine-under at the Lady Paladin Invitational last month.
Harford, who earned a WGCA All-American second team citation in 2017, was selected to the Golfweek All-America third team as a sophomore then earned All-American honorable mention accolades from the publication as a junior. She finished the 2017-18 season ranked 53rd nationally after placing second in the SoCon with a 73.03 stroke average over 36 rounds. Harford, who finished among the top 10 individuals in five tournaments and among the top 20 in seven of 11 tournaments last season, earned her third-consecutive all-conference award in 2018.
The ANNIKA Award Presented by 3M honors the player of the year in women’s college golf, as selected by college golfers, coaches, and members of the golf media. The award, now in its sixth year, is named for Hall of Fame golfer Annika Sorenstam.
The remaining ANNIKA Award watch list will be released this fall on November 9.
