SPARTANBURG, S.C. - College of Charleston's Latisha Harris has been named the Southern Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for all games through January 1, the league office announced today.
Harris, a center from Aynor, S.C., posted a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds in the Cougars' 82-74 win over Richmond. The win was College of Charleston's first victory over an Atlantic-10 opponent since the 1980-1981 season. The senior followed up with another double-double, her fourth of the season, with 20 points and 13 rebounds in the Cougars' win over Charleston Southern.
Harris averaged 15 points per game in last week's contests and has scored in double figures in nine of the Cougars 11 games this season
Other top performers last week were Appalachian State's Maryah Sydnor, Chattanooga's Ashlen Dewart, Elon's Kelsey Evans, Furman's Holli Wilkins, UNCG's Lucy Mason, Samford's Jazmine Martin, and Wofford's Daniella Motley.
