SPARTANBURG, SC – ETSU forward Gavin Dick and UNC Greensboro defender Mathis Robinand were named Southern Conference Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week for matches played from October 6-12.
 
Dick (Stirling, Scotland) scored his first collegiate brace in a 2-0 win over Liberty to move into a tie for first atop the SoCon table with three conference dates remaining. The freshman scored in each half to bring his season goal total to five, finding paydirt in the 26^th minute for the game winner off an assist from Jaime Carrillo and scoring again in the 59^th minute for the final margin. Dick finished the week with three points, with an assist in a 2-1 midweek non-conference loss.
 
Robinand (Rognac, France) anchored a stout defensive effort in UNC Greensboro’s lone match of the week, leading the Spartans to a 3-1 win over ACC foe NC State. It was UNCG’s first win over the Wolfpack – the 2025 national runners up – since 2002. Robinand played all 90 minutes in the win, keying a back line that limited NC State to only three shots on goal and nine total shots.
 
ETSU (6-6-2, 2-0-1 SoCon, 7 pts) steps out of conference on Tuesday night to play at Winthrop (6:00 pm ET) before hitting the road to face Mercer on Saturday night in Macon, GA (7:00 pm ET).
 
UNC Greensboro (4-1-5, 1-0-1 SoCon, 4 pts) hosts Marshall on Tuesday night (6:00 pm ET) before hitting the road to play VMI on Saturday afternoon (3:00 pm ET).
