SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Sports Video Group (SVG), in partnership with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) announced the finalists for the 2025 College Sports Media Awards.
“For the second consecutive year, the Southern Conference’s creative team has been acknowledged by SVG for their exceptional work, and our recognition as a finalist in three categories speaks volumes about the consistent quality we strive to deliver,” said SoCon Commissioner Michael Cross.
The SoCon submitted a collective of projects to be considered in the collegiate conferences and governing bodies subsection. The following SoCon productions were named 2025 finalists:

The SoCon’s naming as a finalist in multiple categories displays excellence in creativity, ingenuity, and savvy among college video departments.
“Communicating our stories in a meaningful way is vital to the SoCon. Our tradition-rich league has incredible geography, academics, elite athletics, and collegiality - when it comes to the complete collegiate experience, in the Southern Conference, “It's All Here,” Cross said. ‘I’m incredibly proud of our talented staff who showcase the compelling narratives that make our conference special. Their dedication to producing high-quality content has once again placed us among the nation's elite.”
The Southern Conference digital team emphasized content highlighting the recovery efforts in Asheville, North Carolina following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene. The league is dedicated to the areas in and around the conference’s footprint, producing high-level digital storytelling that centralizes SoCon communities as a part of the #itsallhere messaging.
Winners will be announced at the SVG College Sports Media Awards on May 28.
