SPARTANBURG, S.C.?– Chattanooga softball player, Kaili Phillips, has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for all competition from May 8-14.? The selection is made by the conference office.  

Phillips competed at the Southern Conference Softball Championship, going 8-of-13 (.615) with four RBIs and three walks as Chattanooga won the tournament crown after claiming the regular season title. In the championship game, the Ooltewah, Tennessee, product went 3-for-3 with a home run, triple, single, a walk and two RBIs.  The third baseman scored four times, slugged 1.077 and had a .688 on base percentage.

For her effort, Phillips was awarded the Pinnacle Award for the highest GPA on the winning team. She graduated with a master’s in public health and held a 4.0 GPA.
