SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Chattanooga’s Violeta Fernandez-Tagle has been selected as the Southern Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from Feb. 28 – March 5. The selection is made by the league office.
 
Fernandez-Tagle carded a career-best 5-under-par 211 (72-70-69) in a field that included eight of the top 100 teams in the nation to finish tied for seventh at the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate. She led the Mocs to an 860 total, marking the fourth-best score in school history and lowest since Chattanooga posted an 856 (+16) at the 2019 Princess Anne Invite.  

Fernandez-Tagle has notched back-to-back top-10 finishes after recording a career-high 13 birdies for the tournament, including a career-best seven birdies over the final 18 holes.  
 
Chattanooga will travel to Gadsden, Alabama, March 10-12, for the Chris Banister Invite.
