SPARTANBURG, S.C. – For the second time in five weeks and the fifth time this season, Furman’s Anna Morgan has been selected as the Southern Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from March 20-26. The selection is made by the league office.
 
Morgan fired a 7-under-par 209 (64-73-72) for the tournament, including the lowest round of any golfer during the three-day event, when she shot an 8-under 64 in the first round. The Spartanburg, South Carolina, native led the Paladins to an 11th-place finish among a field that featured more than a dozen Power 5 teams.

Morgan finished tied for second in par-3 scoring for the event with a 2.75 scoring average. The senior carded eight birdies and eight pars in round one, before shooting a 1-over 73 with one birdie in round two, and an even-par 72 with three birdies during Sunday’s final round.

Following a three-week layoff, Furman will travel to Hilton Head, South Carolina, on April 14-16, for the SoCon Women’s Golf Championship.
