SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU’s Brianna Castaldi has been selected as the Southern Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from March 13-19. The selection is made by the league office.

Castaldi fired a 6-over-par 222 (74-74-74) to lead the Bucs to the Low Country Intercollegiate title last weekend. The Port Saint Lucie, Florida, native, recorded a career-best performance, finishing in a tie for second place after carding eight birdies.

ETSU led the three-day event wire-to-wire enroute to earning its first tournament win since Feb. 2022 when the Bucs won the Reynolds Lake Oconee. The Buccaneers shot 299 in the first round, 303 in the second round and 300 in the final round. ETSU led the field in par-4 (4.25) and par-5 (5.27) scoring, along with defeating five other SoCon schools.

Following a three-week layoff, ETSU will travel to Chattanooga, Tennessee, April 7-9, for the Chattanooga Classic.

Also nominated: Camilla Järvelä (Mercer), Violeta Fernandez-Tagle (Chattanooga), Brie Mapanao (Western Carolina) and Bella Kent (Wofford)
