SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Furman track athlete, Megan Marvin has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for all competition from Feb. 21-27. The selection is made by the conference office.
Marvin, who won the award on Jan. 24, became the SoCon’s first four-time champion in the women’s 800 meter on Sunday at the SoCon Indoor Track and Field Championship in Lexington, Virginia. The Chapel Hill, North Carolina, product clocked in a season-best time of 2:08.85 and scored 10 points for the Paladins on their way to a third-place team finish.
The senior mathematics-economics major currently hold a 3.94 GPA.
