SPARTANBURG, S.C. – UNCG’s John Gabelic has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for all competition from Feb. 13-19. The selection is made by the league office.

The sophomore from Sweden paced UNCG by earning a dominating, 6-2, 6-3 win over College of Charleston’s Eddie Vo at the No. 4 singles spot last Saturday. Gabelic is 2-1 in singles play this season.

UNCG is scheduled to get back on the courts tomorrow (Feb. 21) when the team visits Radford. The Spartans will close out the week by hosting Queens (N.C.) on Saturday (Feb. 24).
