SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Mercer softball infielder Kassidy Moore has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for all competition from Feb. 7-13. The selection is made by the conference office.
Moore hit .455 in four starts at the Heart of Georgia Classic. The Shreveport, Louisiana, native broke two school records at the tournament for both single-game home runs with three and RBIs with nine. Both records came Friday night in the Bears’ 11-9 victory over Drexel. Moore finished the weekend with a .600 on-base percentage and a 1.273 slugging percentage, while drawing four walks and scoring six runs.
The junior infielder is pursuing a degree in Biology and holds a 3.89 GPA.
