SPARTANBURG, S.C. – For the second consecutive week and third time this season, Furman’s Leonardo Dal Boni has been named the Southern Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for all competition from Feb. 6-12. The selection is made by the league office.

While playing at the No. 1 spot for the first time this season, Dal Boni helped lead the Paladins to their third straight victory - a 5-2 win over Xavier last Sunday. The freshman recorded his sixth consecutive singles victory by defeating the Musketeers’ Pascal Mosberger in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2. The win marked Dal Boni’s second consecutive victory in straight sets and fifth in six matches.

The Paladins are scheduled to get back on the courts on Thursday (Feb. 22), when the team visits Clemson.
