Wofford’s Rose Named SoCon Student-Athlete of the Week

Women’s Basketball guard averaged a double-double for the Terriers this week, holds 3.86 GPA

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford women’s basketball guard Rachael Rose has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for all competition from Dec. 26- Jan. 2.  The selection is made by the conference office.

Rose notched her fourth double-double of the season with a 22-point, 12-rebound performance during a 76-57 setback at Georgia on Dec. 30. The Scranton, Pennsylvania, product went on to score 13 points and grab nine rebounds in the win against North Greenville on Monday. Rose combined for 21 total rebounds, 13 assists and four steals while averaging 17.5 points per game this week.

The junior is pursuing a degree in Psychology and holds a 3.86 GPA.
