CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Twenty Southern Conference women’s golf student-athletes were among the 1,401 collegiate golfers named All-American Scholars by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association on Thursday.
 
UNCG and Furman paced the SoCon with five selections each. Western Carolina and Wofford each had four, and Mercer placed two on the list as five of the league's nine programs boasted multiple selections.
 
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics, as the minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
