DALLAS, Texas – Junior right-handed pitcher Jacob Cravey was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's Third Team All-American squad on Wednesday, adding to his ample amount of postseason accolades in 2023.
 
Cravey, who was named to the ABCA/Rawlings Southeast All-Region First Team on Tuesday, additionally earned All-America second-team honors from Collegiate Baseball on June 1.
 
The Andalusia, Alabama, native helped the Bulldogs capture their third Southern Conference tournament title since 2018 this season while also becoming the first Samford baseball program to capture both the SoCon regular-season and tournament titles in the same season.
 
The SoCon Pitcher of the Year led the Bulldogs with a 9-2 record and a 3.10 ERA while posting a perfect 7-0 record in SoCon starts. Cravey's 126 batters struck out this season ranked eighth in all of Division I baseball while also leading the SoCon.
