SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Western Carolina’s Elizabeth Lohbauer has been selected as the Southern Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from Feb. 22-28. The selection is made by the league office.
 
Lohbauer finished tied for seventh at the RiverTowne Invitational, which wrapped play on Tuesday. The Venice, Florida, native posted rounds of 72-74-70 for a tournament score of even-par 216. The sophomore advanced 17 spots from a 24th-place tie to finish in the top 10 following her third-round performance. Lohbauer finished tied for fifth in the tournament field with a team-best 10 total birdies.
 
Western Carolina finished sixth in the 19-team, 103-golfer field RiverTowne Invitational. The Catamounts shot 294 in the first round, 299 in the second round and 298 in the final round.
 
The Catamounts return to action on March 13-14 at the Jackrabbit Invitational at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.
