SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Wofford’s Rachael Rose has been named Southern Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for games played Dec. 19-22, scoring 23 points in the Terriers’ only game last week. The award is selected by the league office.

Rose, who won the honor on Nov. 21, Dec. 5, and Dec. 19, led Wofford offensively last week during the Terriers’ 85-63 setback against Tennessee. Rose, a junior, scored a game-high 23 points, grabbed 13 rebounds, and dished out five assists for her second-straight double-double, which was her third this season.

The Scranton, Pennsylvania, product has scored double digit points in a program-record 31 consecutive games and leads the SoCon in four categories including scoring (20.4), free-throw percentage (.868), assists (5.3), and assist to turnover ratio (1.9).

Wofford (7-5) travels to Georgia on Saturday, Dec. 30.
