SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU women's basketball player Kendall Folley has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for all competition from Oct. 31-Nov. 7. The selection is made by the conference office.
Folley logged 22 points on 9-of-14 shooting in the Bucs season opener against Kentucky. The Lebanon, Ohio, product went 4-for-4 at the free throw line and contributed five rebounds, five assists and two steals in her 32 minutes of playing time. The junior guard was 8-of-10 from the field in the second half, scoring 18 points in the final 20 minutes. Folley was 5-for-5 in the fourth quarter, pouring in 12 of ETSU's 16 fourth quarter points en route to leading all players in scoring.
The Bucs led the Wildcats for three quarters before a rally put Kentucky ahead and the Wildcats would eventually win the game 74-66. Folley is a psychology major with a 3.78 GPA.
