SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Furman’s Anna Morgan has been selected as the Southern Conference Women’s Golfer of the Week for all competition from Oct. 25-31. The selection is made by the league office.
 
Morgan, who won the honor on Sept. 27 as well, won the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, North Carolina, which wrapped play on Sunday. The senior posted rounds of 67-66-69 for a tournament score of 202 (-14). The Spartanburg, South Carolina, native led the field in birdies (17), eagles (2), par-3 scoring (2.67) and par-5 scoring (4.17). Morgan’s victory set a new school record for individual career wins with six, breaking a tie with four other Paladins.
 
Furman finished ninth in the 18-team, 96-golfer field, with a 1-over-par 865 performance. The Paladins shot 297 in the first round, 285 in the second round and 283 in the final round.
 
The Paladins completed their fall season at the Landfall Tradition. Furman will open the spring season on Feb. 4-6 at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
