SPARTANBURG, S.C. – ETSU men’s soccer player Tarik Pannholzer has been named the Southern Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for all competition from Oct. 11-17. The selection is made by the conference office.
Pannholzer led the Bucs offensively to a 2-0 record this week with wins over VMI and Winthrop. In a 3-0 victory over VMI, the senior midfielder found the net on a penalty kick in the 13
th minute. Against Winthrop, the Flensburg, Germany, product netted the game-winning goal in the 85
th minute to defeat the Eagles, 2-1, on ETSU’s senior day.
With a career total of 22 goals, Pannholzer has moved into third in program history with two games left in the regular season. A sports management major with a minor in brewing and distillation, he maintains a 3.89 GPA.
