STILLWATER, Okla. – Junior Dylan Schubert paced the 23rd-ranked Furman men’s cross country team to a 17th-place finish Saturday at Oklahoma State’s Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, Oklahoma, on the Greiner Family Cross Country Course, which will be the site of the 2022 NCAA Championships.
Eight of the nation’s top 10 men’s squads competed at the meet, including fourth-ranked BYU, who won the meet with 75 points. No. 3 Stanford finished second with 101 points, followed by top-ranked Northern Arizona in third with 110 points. The Paladins recorded 455 points for 17th place.
Schubert posted a time of 24:10.0 on the 8K course, finishing 53rd, while junior Carson Williams placed 91st at 24:34.5. Senior Adam Beucler turned in a time of 24:42.9 for 106th place, and sophomore Nick Goldstein finished in 116th with a time of 24:52.1. Senior David Ahlmeyer completed the Paladin slate of scorers in 148th place at 25:17.0.
Sophomore Foster Wilfong posted a 150th-place finish at 25:19.5, and freshman Colton Kempney crossed the line in 25:41.5 for 166th place. Senior Mac Roberts finished 177th with a time of 25:55.9.
Furman will compete at the Live in Lou XC Classic on Saturday, Oct. 1. in Louisville, Kentucky, to preview the regional championship course.
