MANHIEM, Pa. – Campbell, the 2022 Southern Conference Wrestling champion, and Davidson were two of the 30 schools to earn National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) 2022 Division I Team Scholar All-America Awards and 18 league wrestlers received individual honors, the organization announced on Firday.
 
The Camels ranked fifth with a team GPA of 3.484, while the Wildcats ranked 11^th with a 3.428 team GPA.
 
For the second straight year, App State saw a league-best four student-athletes named to the 2022 NWCA DI Individual Scholar All-Americans. Chattanooga and Davidson each had three, Campbell, The Citadel and VMI had two, and Gardner-Webb and Presbyterian each had one wrestler to earn the academic honor. The 18 SoCon student-athletes across eight conference schools were among 289 individuals that represented 74 institutions.
