KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Three ETSU women’s track and field student-athletes competed in Thursday’s opening day of the Tennessee Relays from the Tom Black Track inside LaPorte Stadium.
The trio of Buccaneers represented the Blue and Gold in the women’s hammer with Mary Brown leading the charge on Thursday evening. Brown’s longest distance came on her first attempt of the event as she posted a mark of 41.62 meters, while Anna Moore finished at 33.37m. Alyssa Ceja-Pena, who was looking to post a PR for the third straight meet, fouled in all three of her attempts.
Day two of the Tennessee Relays gets underway Friday at 11 a.m. with the decathlon, followed by the women’s long jump at 2 p.m. and men’s 110-meter hurdles at 2:35 p.m.
