SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The Southern Conference has hired Kiersten Foust as its Director of Creative Services, SoCon Commissioner Jim Schaus announced Friday. In that role, Foust primarily will be responsible for enhancing brand awareness of the SoCon through graphic design and social media.
“We are very excited to add Kiersten to our SoCon team,” Schaus said. “She is extremely talented and creative in this important area of graphics and social media for the conference. She also has a perspective as a collegiate student-athlete.”
Foust has spent the last academic year working as a social/digital media intern at Mars Hill University. In that role, she runs social media pages, coordinates and shoots photos at media days with athletics teams, and creates and posts graphics for student-athletes and teams.
Foust has also served as a social media manager for The Wild Violet, an organic market in Mars Hill, North Carolina.
The Greensboro, North Carolina, native earned an undergraduate degree in graphic design and photography from Mars Hill in 2021 and will graduate with a master’s degree in management in May.
Foust was a member of the Lions’ inaugural women’s lacrosse team in 2018, scoring four goals in the program’s first-ever game in her collegiate debut to help the squad to the win. As a graduate senior this year, she led the team with 45 goals and 52 points.
“I am very excited to help contribute to the growth of the Southern Conference creatively and to our presence on social media,” Foust said.
